ROME, Georgia - Concordia Texas grad student
Joshua Bode entered the ITA Championships as one of 16 competitors in the singles tournament and reached the quarterfinals of the event. By winning the
ITA Regional in late September, Bode entered the ITA Cup with automatic All-American status for the 2023-24 season.
The Austin native won the first round of the tourney with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Polytech Institute's Tsubasa Okada on Thursday. Bode then fell in a 7-5, 6-4 decision to ITA south's representative Dean Kamenev of Emory University.
The ITA Cup concludes the fall campaign for the Tornados. Bode and CTX will now prep for the spring season in search of back-to-back conference tournament championships. The spring season begins on February 2nd against Texas Lutheran.
