A sacrifice fly by
Chris Morrow scored
Aaron Gomez to kick off the scoring in the first inning. The Tornados exploded for four runs in the second inning as
Zach Seigrist singled up the middle to score
Brandon Goynes.
Julian Swift then followed up with another RBI to bring Seigrist home. Later in the inning, Gomez put the ball in play that resulted in an error and a run by
Matthew Armes. Then, a sacrifice bunt by
Shawn Huber sent Swift home for a 5-0 score at the end of the second.
The Bruins scored one run in the third and two in the sixth to make the score 5-3, but a RBI-single by Armes scored Seigrist to extend the Tornados lead to 6-3.
