AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas baseball team split a doubleheader to open the series against LeTourneau. Zach Seigrist tallied his second walk-off RBI of the season in a 3-2 game one victory inside Gardner-Boggs Field on Friday.
GAME ONE: W, 3-2
Neither team produced much offensively in the first two frames. Julian Swift notched the Tornados' first hit of the day in the bottom of the third with a triple to right field. Seigrist followed him with a RBI-single up the left field line.
LETU knotted the game up at 1-1 in fourth inning following back-to-back base hits. The Yellowjackets put two runners in scoring position and scored one in the bottom of the seventh for a 2-1 lead.
Down to their last three outs, CTX answered with an infield single by Brandon Goynes who also stole second. Robert Villa stepped up to the plate to tie the game with a RBI single to centerfield. Later in the inning with Villa in scoring position, Seigrist powered the walk-off RBI single to right field to give Concordia the victory.

GAME TWO: L, 8-2
Concordia tallied five hits and 48 pitches from LeTourneau's starter in the first two innings, but the Yellowjackets were able to escape unscathed.
Both teams remained scoreless, until the bottom of the fifth inning when Swift and Shawn Huber connected on back-to-back triples for a 1-0 lead. Chris Morrow would bring home Huber with a groundout to make it 2-0.
LeTourneau put two runners in scoring position with only one in the top of the seventh, but Otto Franz struck out one batter and popped out another to keep their opponents scoreless.
LETU once again put runners on second and third, and converted on a two-RBI triple to tie the game in the eighth. They then loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth, and recorded six runs to even the series at 1-1.
