AUSTIN, Texas - Concordia Texas baseball's starting pitcher Otto Franz posted his first, career complete game shutout in a 4-0 game two victory over Sul Ross State University. The Tornados split a the doubleheader inside Gardner-Boggs Field on Friday.
GAME ONE: L, 5-4Â Â (Seven Innings)
Concordia's bats came out on fire in the first  as they posted four hits and three runs. Chris Morrow smacked a two-RBI double up the right field line to score Julian Swift and Aaron Gomez. Kalen Clark would then round Morrow home to give CTX the early advantage.
The Lobos answered in the top of the second by tying the game with six consecutive hits. They then tacked on two more runs in the third to claim their first lead at 5-3. Sul Ross later loaded the bases in the fifth inning, but the Tornados held firm to keep the score at bay.
Swift continued his hot-hitting outing when he notched his fourth hit of the game with a RBI-single through the left side to score Bailey Figueroa and make it a 5-4 game heading into the final inning. The Tornados would put the tying run on base, but Sul Ross would hold on for the victory.

GAME TWO: W, 4-0
Neither teams had much going offensively early on as both teams only had two hits each through the first five innings. Concordia took advantage when Swift got on base with a lead-off error, and Gomez reached in a walk. With both of the runners in scoring position, Morrow powered a two-run RBI-single to break the tie.
CTX added insurance in the bottom of the eighth when Morrow and Mason Vasquez launched back-to-back RBI doubles to right field for the final runs of the game at 4-0.
