AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas baseball team opened up the series against McMurry University with a 12-5 loss. Colby Christian launched a two-run homer at Walt Driggers Field on Thursday.

Concordia's offense got off to a hot start as Christian's homerun put them up 2-0 in the first frame. The Tornados pushed their lead to 4-0 the second with a pair of RBIs by Julian Swift & Gomez. The War Hawks got on the board with a homerun in the bottom of the second, and another run in the third.

CTX added another run in the fourth when Zach Seigrist connected on a RBI to score Efren Sanchez Jr. McMurry posted eight runs in the bottom of the inning to claim a 10-5 lead. They then added the final two runs of the game in the seventh to secure the game one victory.

Concordia Texas will now cap off the series with a doubleheader against McMurry tomorrow. First pitch is set for 2pm.
