AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas baseball team earned the series victory with a 6-0 game three victory over the University of the Ozarks. Sophomore pitcher Rowdy Hoadley dominated on the mound with a career-high 10 strikeouts in the shutout win at Gardner-Boggs Field on Saturday.

Concordia Texas struck first in the bottom of the second inning when Mason DuBois converted a throwing error by the catcher into a run. Later in the frame, Samuel Ortiz doubled to left field to score Efren Sanchez Jr. Julian Swift then scored Ortiz for a 3-0 lead with a RBI-single to left.

With Hoadley trucking along, the Tornados extended their lead in the sixth with a two-RBI single by Ortiz that assisted Zach Seigrist & Dubois to home. With the next batter, a sacrifice fly from Swift scored Ortiz for the final run of the game.

Concordia Texas will now head to Alpine, Texas for a non-conference series at Sul Ross State University starting April 12th. First pitch is set for 4pm.
