AUSTIN, Texas - In their final tune up of the preseason, the Concordia Texas women's soccer team battled to a 2-2 draw against Division II foe St. Edward's. Erin Folkner & Emma Payne scored for the Tornados at Lewis Chen Family Field on Saturday.

The Tornados got on the scoreboard with a beautiful corner from Falynn Pyterek connected with Folkner. Later in the second half, an interception by Payne allowed her to streak towards the net for the finish and the lead.

With CTX on the cusp of victory with a 2-1 advantage with eight minutes to go, the Hilltoppers would muster a goal in the waning moments for a tie.

With the conclusion of preseason play, Concordia Texas will open up the regular season against Huston-Tillotson next Friday, August 30th. Kickoff is set for 5pm.
