WHITTIER, California - The Concordia Texas women's soccer team was bested in a 1-0 slugfest against Whittier College. The Poets scored a second half goal to escape with the victory at the Donald E. Graham Soccer Field. 

The Tornados best attempt at a goal came early in the first half when a shot by Patricia Heckendorn was on target but saved in the third minute. Concordia & Whittier would jockey for offensive position & the score would remain 0-0 heading into halftime.

Both teams would remain strong defensively as there was only a combined three shots on goal. Whittier would ultimately break through with a goal in the 63rd minute to earn the win. 

Concordia Texas will next take on the number one ranked Cal Lutheran this Sunday at 12pm CST.
