ABILENE, Texas - The Concordia Texas baseball team was downed in a doubleheader against McMurry. Colby Christian & Zach Seigrist both homered at Walt Driggers Field on Saturday.

GAME ONE: L, 17-4 (7 Innings)

The Warhawks got on the scoreboard first with two runs in the second. Christian's two-run homer in the third tied the game, & a two-RBI single by Jess Lollar gave Concordia a 4-2 advantage. 

The Warhawks scored a run in the bottom of the third, & then pulled away for a 10-4 lead with seven runs scored in the fourth. They would then add three runs in the fifth & four more in the sixth to tie the series.

GAME TWO: L, 12-6

Concordia Texas raced out to a 3-0 lead thanks to a two-RNI double by Christian & a RBI-triple by Jake Townsend. McMurry responded with four runs for a 4-3 lead after the first frame. Seigrist then tied the game with a homerun in the second, but the Warhawks once again answered with eight straight runs over the course of the next five innings.

CTX cut the deficit to 12-5 when Eric Garcia singled to score Christian in the eighth. Looking to rally in the ninth, Carson Riley would cross the plate but this would be the final run scored as McMurry would win game three.

Concordia Texas will look ti bounce back in their next series at Schreiner starting next Friday, February 21st. First pitch is set for 2pm.
