SHREVEPORT, Louisiana - The Concordia Texas women's basketball team earned their largest margin of victory in conference play with a 76-46 victory over Centenary. Destiny Mathews led the way with a 22-point, 13 rebound double-double inside Gold Gym on Friday.
Neither team led by more than five points in the first quarter as Centenary held a slim 14-13 lead heading into the next quarter. CTX would then buckle down defense & produce their lowest defensive scoring quarter as the Ladies only scored four points for a 24-18 game heading into the half.
Concordia's offense would find their flow in the third as they poured in 31 points in the third to balloon their lead to 55-33 through three quarters. They would then cruise in the fourth as they surged to the 30-points victory.
