CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas- The Concordia Texas Women's basketball team loses a heartbreaker at Ozarks by a score of 62 to 63. Destiny Mathews and Taysie Trejo combined for 32 points inside Mabee Gymnasium on Sunday.
In the first quarter, the Tornados would have a very balanced attack as they would come out of the quarter with a 17-13 lead over the Eagles. The second quarter would be a competitive quarter as both teams would exchange baskets but the Tornados would pull through going into the break thanks to a Trejo three pointer which would give them a 3 point advantage.
To start the second half of play, the Tornadoes would go on a 8 to zero run to take command of a 40 to 34 lead. The Eagles would respond and eventually take a 49 to 48 lead heading into the 4th quarter of play.
A very back and forward quarter but with less than 1:40 in regulation the Tornados would find themselves down 4. CTX would find a way to take a 62 to 61 lead with 6 seconds to go in regulation, but the Eagles would hit a go-ahead basket to seal the win away from CTX.
