CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas - The Concordia Texas baseball team earned the series sweep with a 21-10 victory over the University of the Ozarks in game three.
Kalen Clark accounted for two of the Tornados five homeruns at Qualls Field on Saturday. The five homeruns and 21 runs were both the third most in program history.
CTX juiced the bases & put up four runs in the first. They then did loaded the bases once again the third and scored four more runs for an 8-0 lead.Â
The Eagles cut the lead in half with three runs in the bottom of the third & another in the fourth. Concordia answered with a Zach Seigrist RBI-double that scored Carson Riley in the fifth. They then loaded the bases for a third time in the game as Seigrist collected a RBI-walk that plated Matthew Armes for a 10-4 lead in the top of the sixth.Â
The Ozarks scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth, but CTX would answer emphatically with five runs in the top of the seventh, highlighted by back-to-back homers by Clark & Colby Christian.Â
After the Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, Aaron Gomez would slam his first career homerun to right field to put CTX up 16-8. Still showing fight, the Ozarks made it a 16-10 game going into the final frame.Â
Logan Smith would go yard for the second time this series, while Clark powered a three-RBI homer down the left field line to put on the finishing touches of the offensive explosion.

Concordia Texas will next travel to Belton, Texas for a rematch with UMHB this Wednesday, March 19th. First pitch is set for 6pm.
