BELTON, Texas - The Concordia Texas baseball team was bested in a midweek clash by a score of 11-2 at UMHB. Zach Seigrist recorded a game-high four hits, while Colby Christian scored both runs on Wednesday.
The Crusaders jumped out ahead 6-0 after one run in the first and five more in the third. CTX made it 6-1 in the fourth with a fielder's choice RBI by Landon Hyle, but UMHB responded with four more runs in the fifth.
In the next half inning with runners on the corners for the Tornados, Logan Smith notched a RBI-single to score Christian and make it 10-2. The Crusaders answered with another run in the seventh to win the game 11-2.
Concordia Texas will next return to conference play to host Centenary this Friday, March 21st. First pitch is set for 6pm.
