VICTORIA, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw on the road against Texas A&M-Victoria. Maddie Oberholtzer tallied her first goal of the season at the TAMUV Soccer Field on Saturday.
Capitalizing on poor passing by the Jaguars, Oberholtzer would net an incredible goal from deep in the 13th. On the attack again in the 38th minute, Cecilia Escobar got off a good shot attempt that was saved.
The Tornados would carry a 1-0 advantage into halftime, & would control the pace on the pitch for the majority of the second half. With time waning down, a desperate attack by TAMU-Victoria would result in a 87th-minute equalizer. The Tornados would produce one final attempt at a game winner, but the shot by Abbie Adcock would sail just high of the net.
The Tornados will next head home to host Hardin-Simmons for Senior Day on Thursday, September 18th. Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.
