LAMPASAS, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's cross country team turned in a strong showing at the Floyd Farms Invitational, battling through muddy course conditions and finishing just one point behind NCAA Division II Angelo State.

The Tornados were led by Isaias Mendoza, who crossed the finish line in 17:41.8 to place 14th overall in the 5K. Freshman Tanner Moser was right on his heels, finishing 15th with a time of 17:42.2.

Jeremiah Valle was the third Tornado across the line, placing 20th in 18:29.9. Liam Snow and Jesus Higas followed closely, clocking times of 19:06.7 and 19:08.8, respectively. Andres Leal rounded out the CTX finishers with a time of 20:10.6.

Despite the challenging, muddy conditions in Lampasas, Concordia put together a competitive team performance against a field featuring NCAA Division I and Division II competition.

Concordia Texas will next shift their focus to the Stormy Seas Opener, where they will co-host the 5K meet with Southwestern. The women will run first at 8am with the men to follow at 8:40am.
