SAN MARCOS, Texas - The Concordia Texas track & field team competed at the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Texas State University. Turning in several strong performances, Concordia saw multiple athletes achieve personal bests in a meet that featured numerous Division I competition, with
Gabriel Archangel,
Malaya Thomas, and
Damon Vasquez highlighting a productive meet for the Tornados.
Archangel led the way for the Tornados in the men's 200m, posting a personal record time of 21.88. Damari Rainey also competed in the event, finishing with a time of 22.63.
On the women's side, Thomas recorded a personal best of 25.39 in the 200m, continuing her strong freshman campaign. Brinkley Hail competed in the 800m and posted a time of 2:33.03.
In the middle-distance events, Isaias Mendoza broke the two-minute mark in the men's 800m with a time of 1:59.73. Vasquez also delivered a personal best performance in the event, finishing in 2:04.34. Capping off the day was Samuel Valdez, who clocked in at 36:13.15 in the 10k.

After sporting a select few for the meet, Concordia Texas will compete again tomorrow in the JG Gonzales Memorial Invitational, hosted by Trinity University.
