ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's soccer team opened SCAC play with a 1-0 victory over the University of Dallas on Sunday.
The Tornados controlled the attack throughout the match, outshooting Dallas 26-3 and putting 11 shots on goal.
After a scoreless first half, Riley Jackson broke through in the 74th minute off assists from Isabella Vassallo and Sari Hernandez to give CTX the lead.
Emma Guillen helped make the advantage stand, recording two saves to earn the shutout.
Concordia will next remain home and host Austin College this Friday. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
