Men's Soccer falls to UMHB

Belton, TX- Concordia University Texas men's soccer jumped ahead early against the University of Mary Hardin Baylor (UMHB) although that didn't secured much, as UMHB took the 6-2 victory. The loss drops Concordia to 3-7 overall and 2-3 in the American Southwest Conference (ASC). The UMHB men improve to 3-3-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the ASC. 

Sophomore Travis Westfall (Houston, TX) gave Concordia the 1-0 lead off a free kick 15:02 into the match although, UMHB answered within 29 second tying the game at one all. 

The Cru went on a run, scoring five straight goals before the Tornados scored again off a Michael Pena (Houston, TX) goal with 2:19 remaining. 

UMHB scored their final goal 22 second later to give them the 6-2 victory. 

Tornado goalie Eric Davis (Austin, TX) picked up six saves in goal. 

Concordia will take on Howard Payne University in another American Southwest Conference game on Saturday in Brownwood, TX. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
