CLINTON, MS - Concordia Texas women's soccer team picked up their first American Southwest Conference (ASC) loss to Mississippi College Saturday afternoon. The loss drops the Tornados to 2-3-2 overall and 1-1 in the ASC. While the Choctaws are now 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the ASC.
The Tornados held the Choctaws to a scoreless first half although, allowed a goal in the 69th minute and followed by a goal in the 72nd minute.
Kiera Ruck (Houston, TX) scored unassisted, to cut the lead in half in the 84th minute.
As a team Concordia was outshot 22-5.
Elizabeth Hall (Pflugerville, TX) recorded 8 saves for the Tornados.
Concordia will return to action on September 25th for a home match against ASC rival McMurry University. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start at Cedar Park High School.
