BOX SCORE

AUSTIN, Texas --
#Brad Walker# had a career night while leading the Concordia University Texas men's basketball team to an 88-77 win over visiting Louisiana College on Saturday at Concordia Fieldhouse.

Walker posted career-highs in points (30), blocked shots (5) and steals (5).  In addition, he tied his career-high with 10 made free throws.  Walker also set the record for points scored by a CTX player at Concordia Fieldhouse.

The Tornados (6-6, 4-4 American Southwest Conference) trailed by two points (43-45) at halftime, despite building a 10-point advantage (32-22) midway through the first half.  The second half would see both teams exchange leads several times.  However, Concordia took control of the game with 7:56 remaining.  Walker buried a jumper to put CTX in front of the Wildcats (6-7, 4-4 ASC), 70-69.  #Kenny Williams# hit a pair of free throws and Walker added one of his own to give CTX a 73-69 lead.  Walker knocked down another jumper with 6:10 remaining to cap off a 7-0 run for the Tornados.

CTX would push the lead to eight points before Louisiana College pulled within five.  That was as close as the Wildcats would get as Concordia pulled away late.

Walker also led the Tornados with 12 rebounds.  Williams chipped in 21, while #Reza Farahani# netted nine points.  #Justin Reefer# scored six points and grabbed nine rebounds off the bench.

Jarrod Jackson led the Wildcats with 21 points.

The Tornados resume ASC West action on Monday, Jan. 11, as they travel to Belton for a match up with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor at 7:30 p.m.
