AUSTIN, Texas --- The Concordia University Texas volleyball dropped its fourth straight match Friday evening losing in three sets 18-25, 18-25, 17-25 to Hardin-Simmons in ASC action at the Concordia Fieldhouse. CTX now drops to (5-11, 3-7 ASC) while HSU improves to (12-5, 8-2 ASC) on the year.

Concordia found themselves on the wrong-side of a must-win game Friday as Hardin-Simmons maintained its ASC West Division lead, overpowering a Tornado's team that hit just -.043 in the match. The Cowgirls racked up 35 kills on 19 errors hitting at a .142 clip.

Hardin-Simmons set the tone for the match in game one, jumping out to a forceful 8-1 advantage. CTX's Alison Pringle slammed one of her team-high seven kills to cut the deficit to 15-17. The Cowgirls would gather themselves after a timeout winning eight of the next 11 points to collect the set one victory.

Set two and three was much of the same seeing HSU jump out to early leads. Concordia would then play well in small spurts only to see Hardin-Simmons turn it on almost automatically to cruise home with the victory.

Cowgirl's libero Gracen Harris collected 17 digs in the match while Madison Reyes picked up a double-double with a match-high eight kills and 12 digs.

Concordia's Kevyn Jackson recorded 16 digs on the night filling in at the libero while Kalynn White added six more kills to her team-leading total in the loss.

The Tornados are currently on their way to Alpine, Texas to take on Sul Ross State (1-15, 0-7 ASC) later this evening. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
