Seguin, Texas
- Freshman goalkeeper Nick Martin made seven saves, but the Concordia University Texas men's soccer team fell to Texas Lutheran by a 1-0 score on Monday, Sept. 17 at Gustafson Field.

After a scoreless first half in which the Tornados had an 8-6 edge in total shots, the teams continued to go back and forth well into the second half with nothing being decided. Anthony Graham nearly put the Tornados on the scoreboard first, but his shot in the 72nd minute clanked off the post and was cleared away.

Gio Silveyra, however, was able to get Texas Lutheran (3-1-1, ASC 1-0-1) on the board by taking a pass from Andrew Welsch and scoring on an open net while the CTX goalkeeper was out of position with under 10 minutes left in regulation. The hosts would then hold on to register their fourth straight shutout.

Martin of Concordia made seven saves on 15 opportunities in the losing effort. Texas Lutheran's Jonathan Michael turned away four of the 13 shots he faced to pick up the clean sheet and victory.

Concordia (1-3-1, ASC 0-2) will host East Texas Baptist on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 4 p.m.
