Megan Wagenaar won the 800-meter run to lead the Concordia University Texas women's track & field team at the Incarnate Word Last Chance Meet on Sunday, May 12 at Benson Stadium.
Wagenaar's winning time in the 800-meter run was 2:17.95, which outdistanced the rest of the field by nearly three seconds. The junior ended the spring with program records in the 400-meter dash as well as the 800- and 1,500-meter runs.
Andrea Mitchell, who was named the American Southwest Conference Freshman Athlete of the Year, paced a group of four sprinters at the competition. She placed sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.42 seconds and seventh in the 200 in 25.57 before anchoring the 4x100-meter relay team that navigated the track in 48.52.

Sydney Getfield and
Randi Askew completed the group.
Concordia, which set program highs by placing third with 130.50 points at the ASC Championships two weeks ago, is slated to return all of its letterwinners next season.
