AUSTIN, Texas – The 11th-ranked Concordia Unviersity Texas baseball team will continue its seven-game road trip with a stop at former American Southwest Conference foe Texas Lutheran on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch of the single game is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Katt-Isbel Field in Seguin.
The Tornados (19-3) took two of three games from LeTourneau in a conference series this past weekend in Longview.
Estevan Hernandez paced Concordia Texas in the series with a .545 batting average to go along with a double, two RBIs and a stolen base. The senior infielder also slugged .636 and reached base at a .538 clip.
The Tornados' pitching staff combined to log a 1.11 ERA against the YellowJackets, lowering their league-leading ERA to 2.00.
The Bulldogs (18-10) dropped two of three games at Southwestern in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference set this past weekend in Georgetown. Texas Lutheran is batting .292 and owns a 3.33 ERA this spring.
Tuesday's contest marks the 104th meeting all-time between the two clubs, making it the most-played series in program history. The Bulldogs own a 77-26 advantage over the Tornados, and TLU has won the last two meetings, including an 11-3 decision on Feb. 12 in Austin.
