AUSTIN, Texas – Back from a seven-game road trip, the 11th-ranked Concordia University Texas baseball team will open a four-game home stand on Tuesday night against former American Southwest Conference foe Schreiner. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Prior to the game, the Tornados (20-6) will honor members of Special Olympics Texas and Down Home Ranch. One athlete from Special Olympics Texas also will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Concordia Texas posted a 3-4 record in its road trip, which included dropping two of three games this past weekend at Mississippi College. The Tornados are 4-2 against non-conference opponents this spring and 11-2 within the friendly confines of Tornado Field.
Concordia enters the mid-week affair with a .299 batting average and a 1.90 ERA.
