Tornados Get Back on Track with 2-0 Shutout of Huston-Tillotson

BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas -- The Concordia Texas men's soccer team got back into the win column with a 2-0 victory over Huston-Tillotson Wednesday afternoon at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.

The Tornados took a 1-0 lead on a header by Matthew Butler with 12 mintues left in the first half. Nash Cole picked up the assist after giving Butler the feed. The tally proved to be the game-winner as goalkeeper Nick Martin stopped nine Ram shots on goal en route to his first complete-game shutout.

Farauz Abbaszedah scored in the second half, converting on a cross pass from Alejandro Labastida with 35 minutes remaining.

The Tornados return to action Saturday at 7 p.m. against Mary Hardin-Baylor to complete the four-game homestand. The match will follow the completion of the women's game against the Cru at St. Stephen's.
