BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas -- The Concordia Texas men's basketball team capped the conference slate with a come-from-behind 110-101 win over Hardin-Simmons Thursday night at the Concordia Fieldhouse.
The Tornados (13-11, 8-6 ASC) trailed by 13 with just under a minute until the intermission. CTX was able to outscore the Cowboys (15-9, 8-5) by 20 in the final period, sealing the victory.
The key stretch came late in the second half when Concordia used a 14-3 run to gain the lead. HSU led 95-94 just inside the four minute mark At the end of the spurt, the Tornados were out in front 108-98 with less than a minute to play. Before a 3-pointer with 27 seconds left, the Cowboys had gone without a field goal for 3:31.
Ben Page paced Concordia with 20 points while
Donovan Ford added 19;
Clay Marley (15), Josh Samuels (14),
Demarco Richardson (13) and
Rashad Coleman (12) also finished in double-figures .Page also led CTX with eight boards.
The Tornados conclude the regular season Saturday against McMurry. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
