AUSTIN, Texas -- Playing in the first match in a week, the Concordia Texas women's tennis team fell on the short end of a 5-4 decision Friday at the Austin Tennis Center.
Rean Vanderbilt and
Genesis Carreon put the Tornados (0-4) on the board with an 8-0 win at the No. 3 doubles. The duo went 2-0 on the day as both took home victories at the five and six singles positions.
Carreon won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 5 singles while Vanderbilt's opponent retired.
Alexis Popovich earned the other point for CTX with a 6-0, 6-2 win at the No. 4 singles.
The Tornados return to action Mar. 10 at Southwestern.
