AUSTIN, Texas -- The Concordia Texas women's tennis program earned its first team victory since 2008 Saturday afternoon at River Place Country Club with an 7-2 triumph over LeTourneau.

The Tornados posted clean 8-0 victories at the second and third doubles. Leyla Martinez, Giselle Dall'Orso, Genesis Carreon and Rean Vanderbilt all went undefeated on the day while Alexis Popovich swept at the No. 4 singles.

"Concordia came out strong in the last two doubles flights and carried that momentum into the No. 4 singles. Giselle extended our lead to 4-1 with her win. LeTourneau was able to get a win at the No. 2 singles, by Leyla battled at the top flight to clinch it for us," head coach Daniel Whitehead said.

"We fought hard from begining to end for our first win of the season."

The Tornados return to action Wednesday at Southwestern.
