ALPINE, Texas -- The Concordia Texas women's tennis team dropped another 5-4 heartbreaker Friday at Sul Ross State.

Giselle Dall'Orso and Alexis Popovich were the last two matches on the court while the Tornados were leading 4-3 overall in the match. They both lost in the third set giving Sul Ross the 5-4 victory.

"I have to give credit to sul Ross girls for fighting as hard as they did with a short staffed team. They are a tough team," head coach Daniel Whitehead said.
 
"I'm proud of the effort the girls put in a lot after several very tough losses. We have come out every time ready to fight again. There's nothing more I can ask for as a coach, and I'm very proud of how far we've come from the beginning of the season."

CTX returns to action Apr. 15 at Hardin-Simmons.
