AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Women's Tennis team took on Central College, winning 7-2 for their third win of the season on Thursday afternoon.

The Tornados would take two of the three doubles matches. Leyla Martinez and Justus Aarhus fell in the tiebreaker at line one 9-8. Lisette Mata, Hayley Anderson and Juliette Garza, Serena Segel both earned wins in their matches as CTX led 2-1.

In the singles matches, the Tornados would take five of the six matches to clinch their fourth win of the year. Aarhus, Mata and Martinez would all take their matches in straight sets. After a quick first set, Garza would battle in the second set, going to a tiebreaker and winning 7-4. The Warriors would take the final two matches of the day, but CTX had clinched the team match.

The Tornados will next host Wisconsin-Eau Claire at Austin Tennis Center on Monday, March 20 at 2 p.m.
