AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Women's Tennis team, searching for their second straight win, fell 5-4 against Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Monday afternoon.
The Tornados took two of three in the doubles matches. The duo of
Leyla Martinez and
Justus Aarhus played at line one defeating Bluegold's Natalie Wijesinghe and Olivia Gallagher, while
Serena Segel and
Juliette Garza won at line three.
In the singles matches,
Lisette Mata and
Hayley Anderson both came away with victories at line three and six respectfully. It was not enough though as UWEC took four of the six singles matches and won the team match 5-4.
The Tornados will now travel to Abilene, Texas for their first ASC matchups of the season against Hardin-Simmons and McMurry, playing the Cowgirls first on Saturday at 2 p.m.
