RICHARDSON, Texas – Lauren Fox earned her first career win, but the Concordia Texas women's tennis dropped an 8-1 decision against UT Dallas Saturday at UT Dallas Tennis Complex.

The Tornados fell to 1-1 on the year after knocking off Howard Payne to open the season.

The Comets swept the doubles matches 8-0, 8-0, 8-2 to take a 3-0 lead in the match.

In the singles, UTD clinched the win after winning the first two singles matches 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-1.

CTX picked up their lone win in the match when Fox defeated Justine Borchard 6-1, 6-4. Fox, a freshman from Kerville, Texas moved to 1-0 on the year.

Next up, the Tornados play in their first home match of the year against Sul Ross at UT Whitaker Fields beginning at 1:00 p.m.
