BELTON, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's tennis team would sweep all three doubles matches and cruise to a 9-0 shutout of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Tuesday.
Leyla Martinez and
Justus Aarhus would win their third match as a doubles pair this season, winning 8-5 at line one.
Hayley Anderson and
Lauren Fox, playing at line two, would continue the winning trend for the Tornados, sealing an 8-3 victory.
Camille Kempf and
Alexis Popovich would give CTX a 3-0 team lead, winning 8-0 at line three.
In the singles matches, the Tornados would continue to dominate the Cru. Fox and
Genna Ellinwood would both win at line five and six 6-0, 6-0, respectively.
Concordia Texas would sweep the rest of the singles matches of the day to win the team match 9-0 and improve to 2-2 in conference play.
Up next, the Tornados will travel to Abilene, Texas for a pair of matches, taking on Hardin-Simmons on Friday at 2 p.m. and a duel with McMurry on Saturday.
