RICHARDSON, Texas – Concordia Texas volleyball's Georgia Quiroz was named the American Southwest Conference West Division Setter of the Year as well as receiving her first career all-conference selection as the league office released its volleyball all-ASC teams and divisional award winners on Monday.

The Tornados, who reached the ASC Tournament semifinals for the fourth straight year in a COVID-19 shortened season, had four players earn All-ASC honors led by Quiroz and Sarah Ghormley, who were both All-Conference selections as well as named to the ASC West First Team.

Quiroz, who is the program's all-time assists leader and led the league in assists this past season with 368, became the first CTX player in school history to garner the ASC Setter of the Year award.

She was a force on the offensive and defensive end for the Tornados, finishing the year with 407 assists in 40 sets played as well as totaling 143 digs and a team-high nine double-doubles. The Georgetown, Texas native had 30-plus assists in nine of the team's 12 games, including a 44-assist, 16-dig performance in a win over Howard Payne on March 13.

It is Quiroz's first-ever ASC All-Conference honor, while earning her third career ASC West accolade.

Ghormley, a Georgetown, Texas native as well, led the conference in kills per set with a mark of 3.94 and finished with a team-high 155 kills and 161 digs to collect her first career All-Conference selection while also being named to the ASC West First Team for the second year in a row.

She had double-digit kills in nine of the team's 12 matches. In the Tornados' semifinal matchup against UT Dallas, Ghormley turned in a 17-kill, career-high 25-dig showing in a five-set thriller. She concluded the season with eight double-doubles.

Meanwhile, newcomer Kylexus Block was named to the ASC West Second Team and Marjani Myles earned her fourth career All-ASC accolade after being named an ASC West Honorable Mention.

Block was impressive in her first year with CTX, accumulating 127 kills on the year, averaging 3.43 a set and led the team in total blocks with 24. In conference play, Block registered a mark of 3.55 kills per set, which ranked third among ASC leaders.

The San Antonio native tallied four double-doubles on the year and recorded 20-plus kills three times, including a 20-kill, 11-dig performance in a sweep of Sul Ross State on March 16.

Myles started in 11 of the team's 13 matches, finishing with 67 kills and 13 total blocks. The Houston native hit at a .647 mark and tallied 12 kills back on March 13 in a sweep of the Yellow Jackets.

It is the fourth straight season the Tornados have had at least one player earn All-Conference honors and the first time with multiple players named to the All-Conference team since 2018.

Concordia Texas finished the regular season as the two seed out of the ASC West and reached the ASC Tourney semifinals for the fourth straight year, but fell short of a championship appearance, dropping a five-set heartbreaker to UT Dallas.
