BOX SCORE WACO, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team's nine match win streak was halted by UT-Dallas. The Comets bested the Tornados at the Waco Regional Tennis Center on Saturday.
Kaitlin Stevens and Isabella Wiik were blanked 8-0 in the first doubles match. Isabella Cepeda and Kayla Pena competed in a competitive 8-6 decision, while the tandem of Claire Austin and Trinity Klamecki were downed 8-4.
In singles play, Pena was upended in an entertaining 6-3, 6-4 match. Wiik dropped a decision by retirement on line two, while Cepeda played in the match of the day in a 7-5, 3-6, 7-10 thriller. Emily Hines and Stevens were both defeated 6-0, 6-2, and Klamecki was bested 6-1, 6-0.
Concordia Texas will look to bounce back next Saturday, April 1st in Abilene, Texas against Hardin-Simmons. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
