BOX SCORE ABILENE, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team was downed in a 6-3 decision against Hardin-Simmons University. Isabella Wiik highlighted the day for CTX with a three-set marathon at the Streich Tennis Center on Saturday.
The tandem of Isabella Cepeda and Kayla Pena claimed the lone doubles win with an 8-5 triumph on court two.Â
After the Tornados fell behind 3-1 in the series, Wiik came from behind for a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win and Cepeda evened the match at three wins apiece with her 6-0, 6-4 victory in line three. The Cowgirls would go on to win three matches in a row to earn the win.
Concordia Texas will now head to Georgetown, Texas to take on #23 Southwestern on Tuesday, April 5th. First serve is set for 5 p.m.
