Kimora Roberson PRs at Day One of the SCAC Championships

The Tornados competed in four events in the opener

SEGUIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas track & field team opened the weekend with day one at the SCAC Championships. Sophomore Kimora Roberson was a point scorer for the Tornados to kick off the campaign. 

Roberson notched a new PR in the shot put with a throw of 11.14m. The throw placed her eighth overall in the event as she scored a point for CTX. Also representing the ladies on Friday was Lluvia Rodriguez in the javelin where she placed 16th with a throw of 15.20m.

In the men's shot put, Sergio Hernandez (10.08m) led the way to finish 18th. Isaac Sanchez (9.98m) & Joshua Zak (9.75m) finished consecutively behind him.

Rounding out the events on Friday for the men were the long jump participants. Ka'Von Moore Jr. was the top finisher for CTX with a best leap of 6.38m to finish ninth. Walker Finleyson finished 12th at 6.25m, while Nick Anderson placed 25th at 5.79m.

Concordia Texas will now shift their focus to day two of the meet. The first event is set for 8am.
