KERRVILLE, Texas - The Concordia Texas cross country program displayed progress in with a well-rounded showing at the Schreiner Mountaineer Hill Invitational.

Edward Wells Wensley, &
Damon Vasquez all PR'd on at Kerrville-Schreiner Park on Saturday.
In the women's 6K where the women earned a fifth-place finish, Rivera crossed the finish line at 26:13.1. The junior placed 14th overall as she surged past all other SCAC competitors in the race. Freshman
Liliana Lutz (32nd overall) was the second finisher for CTX at 27:32.1.
Fellow first-year runners
Skye Wardlay (30:26.0) &
Kaydence Williamson (30:54.1) and junior
Camille McWhorter (31:04) exhibited solid pack running in the middle of the group.Â
Ashley Ramirez posted a 33:41.8 finish, while
Breanna Garrett completed her 6k debut in 38:12.6, giving the Lady Tornados a full team effort on the course.

In the men's 8K, the Tornados placed sixth overall.Â
Matthew Kangas led the group with a time of 28:30.0, just edging teammate
Samuel Valdez (28:32.0).
Gerardo Leal followed at 29:06.7, with
Isaias Mendoza close behind in 29:27.7 to round out the team's top four.
Wells Wensley clocked in at 30:36.1, while
Hector Gutierrez (30:52.5) &
Damon Vasquez (31:17.4) finalized the scoring for the men.

Concordia Texas will now have three weeks to prepare for the DBU Old Glory Gallop in Fort Worth, Texas at the AP Ranch on October 11th.
