BELTON, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team put together a superb effort at the Crusader Invitational. Kailey Albrecht claimed the Flight E title as a total of four Tornados reached the finals of their flights.

Albrecht, a freshman Corpus Christi, was dominant in her first two matches before competing against fellow Tornado Aria Moreni in a 6-2, 6-3 finals triumph. Moreni exhibited strong play and resilience as she earned a gritty 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 victory in the second round of her draw over Mehkayla Mulski of McMurry.

Emily Pullen (Flight C) & Reagan Branum (Flight H) both reached the finals of their respective brackets, while Bailey Parker bounced back from a first round defeat to claim the Flight H consolation title with a pair of wins. Parker would then earn another two wins in the Flight D doubles play as her and Emmy Mize outlasted their opponents of McMurry 8-7 in their final match.

Concordia Texas will next head to Abilene, Texas for the Women's ITA Regional on September 26-28, hosted by Hardin-Simmons University.
