SUWANEE, GA - Concordia Texas junior forward Karis Hickey has been named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week, the league's office announced on Monday. Hickey is the first Tornado to earn the honor this season.

Hickey produced two 90-minute masterpieces in a pair of SCAC victories last weekend. In a 1-0 win over LeTourneau, Hickey helped propel CTX to their second clean sheet of the season as the Tornados only allowed five shots on goal.

In a 3-2 victory against Austin College, Hickey netted the first goal of the match as she launched a highlight-worthy shot from nearly 30 yards out.
