SHREVEPORT, Lousiana - The Concordia Texas baseball team was downed on the road by a score of 6-3 in game one at Centenary College.
Landon Hyle &
Jett Warner both went 2-4 at the plate with a run scored at Sheehee Stadium on Friday.
The Tornados got on the board first with a RBI-single to left from
Logan Smith to score Hyle in the top of the second. The Gents evened the score in the bottom of the frame with a run scored.
Concordia reclaimed the lead in the third with a
Hunter Smith RBI-single that sent Warner home. Later in the inning with the bases juiced,
Kolten McDaniel made it 3-1 with a RBI-walk that scored
Bo Dinscore.
Both teams went scoreless for the next three frames, but Centenary would cause damage in the seventh with timely hits for five runs as they would go on to claim game one.
Concordia Texas and Centenary will conclude the series with a doubleheader tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
