SEGUIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas Track & Field team delivered an impressive all-around performance at the TLU Invite. The Tornados recorded multiple personal records, a collegiate personal record, and several top finishes at Bulldog Stadium on Saturday.
Leading the way in the field events, Cylie Wong earned a second-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.54 meters.
In the throws, Johnny Plair turned in one of the top performances in program history, recording the second-longest discus throw ever at 42.25 meters to place fourth. Samuel Stewart also highlighted the throws group with a personal record in the shot put at 9.57m.
On the track, Concordia saw a number of standout performances. Gabriel Archangel excelled in the 400 meters, set a new collegiate record with a time of 50.57 while finishing sixth overall.
In the 800 meters, Isaias Mendoza claimed a runner-up finish with a personal-best time of 1:59.11, while Brinkley added another personal record in the same event with a time of 2:31 to place seventh in the women's race.
The Tornados also found success in the distance events as Skye Wardlay recorded a personal best in the 1500 meters at 5:54.08.
In relay action, the women's 4x100 relay team posted a season-best time of 49.88, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses.

Concordia Texas will next head to Prarie View, Texas to compete in the 92nd PV Relays on Friday, March 27th.
