AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas men's basketball team will look to return to its winning ways when it hosts a pair of American Southwest Conference (ASC) foes this weekend at Concordia Fieldhouse. The Tornados will face Ozarks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday before taking on Texas-Tyler at 3 p.m. two days later.

ABOUT CONCORDIA TEXAS
The Tornados (8-3, 5-3 ASC) saw their five-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday night in a 76-74 loss to rival Mary Hardin-Baylor. Concordia Texas is tied for third place in the current ASC standings with UMHB, Sul Ross State and Texas-Tyler. The Tornados lead the league with an average of 91.6 points and 17.5 assists per game. Junior guard Josh Sanchez (21.3 ppg) and senior forward Dwayne Patterson (20.9 ppg) rank first and second in the league scoring race. Patterson also sits in third in the league in rebounding average (9.1 rpg).

ABOUT OZARKS
The Eagles (4-6, 2-5 ASC) have lost five of their last six contests, including back-to-back games at Howard Payne (Jan. 2) and Sul Ross State (Jan. 4). The Eagles rank second in the league at 80.9 points per game. Ricky Allen (13.3 ppg) leads a quartet of scorers who average double figures, while Ted Beard IV averages 10.3 points and a team-leading 6.4 rebounds per outing.

ABOUT TEXAS-TYLER
The Patriots (6-5, 5-3 ASC) netted a 78-75 at Howard Payne last Saturday, which snapped a two-game skid. Texas-Tyler ranks 10th in the league in scoring average (70.8 ppg) and second in turnover margin (+1.91). Travis Dykman (13.2 ppg) is the team's leading scorer, while Bryce Kemp averages a team-best 5.4 rebounds per game.
