The Tornados used three 3-pointers, including a pair from Sanchez, and six layups to fuel the spurt.

The Wildcats (9-8, 9-6 ASC) managed to get within two after Kevin Lewis hit a 3-pointer with 2:35 to play. However, Concordia pushed the lead back to give following a Patterson free throw and Sanchez layup. Lewis nailed a jumper in the final minute, but he missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer with 16 seconds remaining.

The Tornados faced a 21-11 deficit in the first half, but battled back and trimmed the Louisiana College lead to just three points (38-35) by halftime.
