AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas men's basketball team suffered a 94-72 setback to 17th-ranked Texas-Dallas on Thursday night at Concordia Fieldhouse.
The Comets (22-2, 20-1 ASC) shot 56.5 percent (26-of-46) from the floor and tallied 16 fastbreak points en route to the 22-point victory.
The Tornados (16-8, 13-8 ASC) scored the first bucket of the game, but it was the last lead the hosts had all night. Texas-Dallas went on a 9-0 run and never looked back.
Gavyn Walker came off the bench and led Concordia Texas with 16 points and seven rebounds.
JT Clark scored 11 points in 14 minutes off the bench.
Kyle Schleigh led all scorers with 27 points for the Comets.
The Tornados will wrap up the regular season at 3 p.m. Saturday versus Hardin-Simmons.
