AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas Men's Basketball team was well represented on the 2025-26 All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Team as Joey Ramirez was named SCAC Player of the Year, highlighting six total honorees for the Tornados.

Ramirez becomes the first Tornado in program history to earn SCAC Player of the Year honors and the first Concordia men's basketball student-athlete to be named conference player of the year since Dwayne Patterson earned ASC Player of the Year recognition during the 2012-13 season.

The recognition comes after a historic regular season that saw Concordia finished second in the SCAC regular season with a 14-2 conference record. The Tornados ranked third nationally in scoring (99.6 points per game) and third in the nation in forced turnovers, showcasing one of the most explosive and disruptive teams in Division III.

Ramirez, a First Team All-SCAC selection, started all 27 games and averaged 22.4 points per game while shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 86.2 percent from the free-throw line.

He totaled 604 points on the season, adding 5.9 rebounds per game, 83 assists and 51 steals. In conference play, Ramirez averaged 21.5 points per game while shooting 88.9 percent from the line, leading the Tornados on both ends of the floor.

Joining Ramirez on the All-SCAC Third Team were Anariss Brandon and Percy Green.

Brandon started all 27 contests and averaged 15.2 points per game while shooting 48.6 percent from the field. He added 110 rebounds, 54 assists and 48 steals, serving as a consistent two-way presence throughout the year.

Green made a major impact in the post, averaging 13.9 points per game while shooting an efficient 56.7 percent from the floor. He pulled down 5.1 rebounds per contest and recorded 26 blocks, providing interior production and rim protection.

Aaron San Miguel and Jaiden Gastile each earned All-SCAC Honorable Mention recognition.

San Miguel averaged 12.1 points per game and connected on 57 three-pointers while shooting 40.1 percent from beyond the arc. He also dished out a team-high 96 assists and added 43 steals, playing a key role in the Tornados' fast-paced offensive attack.

Gastile appeared in all 27 games, averaging 6.2 points per contest while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 39.6 percent from three-point range. He contributed defensively as well, adding 19 steals and nine blocks.

Freshman Tremayne Martin was named to the SCAC All-Freshman Team after averaging 8.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in his debut season. Martin added 43 steals and 48 assists while appearing in all 27 contests, providing valuable depth and energy off the bench.
