BOX SCORE SAN ANTONIO -- The Concordia Texas men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the young season with a come-from-behind 85-76 victory at Trinity Monday night.
The Tornados were able to overcome a 16-point deficit in the first half and used the momentum to seal the win in the second.
The Tigers (0-2) held a 31-15 advantage with 7:24 remaining in the first half. Concordia would outscore Trinity 22-10 to close out the opening stanza, however the Tigers went into the locker room with a 41-37 advantage.
The Tornados continued to go on the attack in the second half, eventually tying the contest at 42. Concordia took the lead for the final time on a 3-pointer by
Rashad Coleman at the 16:45 mark of the second period. The Tornados out-shot the Tigers by 15 percentage points in the frame.
Coleman would end the night with a game-high 18 points. He also dished out seven assists. Josh Samuels added 14 points while
Joe Neal paced the Tornado bench with 13. Neal also had 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Concordia remains on the road for a rare non-conference meeting with UT Dallas on Nov. 21. Tip-off is at 3 p.m.
