AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas men's basketball team earned the No. 6 seed in this week's American Southwest Conference Tournament and will face third-seeded Louisiana College in the quarterfinal round at 12 p.m. Thursday at Ornelas Gymnasium in Marshall.

CONCORDIA TEXAS (16-9)

• The Tornados won three of their last four games and defeated Texas-Dallas this past Saturday to clinch the No. 6 seed in the ASC Tournament.
• CTX leads the ASC in six categories – scoring average (89.5 ppg), free-throw percentage (.722), assists per game (16.7), steals per game (10.3), turnover margin (+5.6) and 3-point field goals made per game (9.6).
• The Tornados rank among the nation's top-10 in four categories – free throw attempts (712/2nd), free throws made (514/3rd), scoring average (89.5 ppg/5th) and turnover margin (+5.6/8th).
• Senior guards Andre Potts (18.2 ppg) and Josh Sanchez (18.1 ppg) both rank in the top six scorers in the league. Potts sits in sixth place, while Sanchez in spot behind in seventh.
• Sanchez needs only two points to move into eighth place on the program's all-time scoring list. The Houston native has amassed 1,372 points in only three seasons with the Tornados.
• Concordia is in search of its second ASC Tournament Championship in the last three years. The Tornados captured the 2013 Tournament title in Richardson before advancing to the NCAA Division III Round of 32.

LOUISIANA COLLEGE (14-9)
• The Wildcats have won four of their last five games, but missed out on a chance to earn a share of the regular season title following a 77-76 defeat at Texas-Tyler last Saturday.
• Louisiana College is led by a trio of double digit scorers – Anthony Gaines Jr. (20.6 ppg), Kevin Cottonham (15.5 ppg) and Kevin Lewis (12.9 ppg).
• The Wildcats rank second in the ASC, behind CTX, in steals per game (9.2).
• Cottonham leads the league in assists per contest (4.5).
• Louisiana College is making only its fourth appearance in the league's postseason tournament.

ABOUT THE SEASON SERIES
• The Wildcats won both meetings this season.
• Louisiana College earned a 115-111 victory on Dec. 20, 2014, in Austin.
• The Tornados also suffered a 103-80 setback on Jan. 29 in Pineville, La.
• The two teams have never met in the ASC Tournament.
