BOX SCORE ABILENE, Texas -- Dervyn Baines set a couple of new standards in his young career in Concordia Texas' 103-87 victory Thursday evening at McMurry.

Baines led the Tornados (10-8) with 21 points and 11 rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench. His point total and time logged set new career-bests, shattering his previous highs of 16 and 18, respectively. He also tied a career-high in rebounds. Baines was part of a CTX bench that tallied 65 points in all.

A total of five Concordia players ended the night in double-digits in addition to Baines. Reigning ASC West Co-Player of the Week Donovan Ford continued to stay sharp with 19 points and eight assists. Ephriam Price logged 16 points. Rashad Coleman led the starters with 15 while Clay Marley chipped in 10 to tie his season high.

The Tornados led the War Hawks (3-16) nearly wire-to-wire. Concordia went into the half with a 50-37 advantage thanks in part to a 13-0 run midway through the first half. McMurry got to within two points at 74-73 with just under nine minutes to go, but CTX would outscore the War Hawks 29-14 down the stretch to secure the win.

For the game, CTX was 37-of-39 (94.9 percent) from the charity stripe. It was the second-best team free throw percentage in school history and fifth-best in made free throws.

The Tornados remain in Abilene and return to action Saturday at 3 p.m. at Hardin-Simmons.
